You know the feeling i got when our team ran onto the ground was amazing, the roar was deafening, the sea of yellow black was everywhere to be seen, being in the AFL members when the tiges ran onto the field and started running towards the punt road end goals the sight and noise was amazing everyone stood up we all looked over to the southern and Olympic stands where the noise was just over the top and yellow and black everywhere, a blues fan near me pointed to his other blues mates and said look at that, pointing to the yellow and black mass over at the punt road end goals...
Apart from the first few goals by Mitch which had the tiger crowd buzzing, from then on not much to cheer about especially as the blues were piling them on...
I had a group of 16 and 1 new tiger supporter attending his first game ever, in the early stages when we ran on to the ground he just thought wow this is unbelievable, we are huge we have so many fans, ahh that is true but in the last qtr i said sorry mate, not what i wanted for ur first game he said it was bad to many mistakes but i want to come every week, loved the atmosphere i looked at him stony faced and thought this would kill his first ever experience to the footy, well at least he enjoyed the surroundings, meaning the overall atmosphere.
As the herald sun said today “unleash the beast” which was on the tiger banner, then continued by saying in an around about way not the team but the supporters unleashing the beast, indeed yes 50,000 voices belting out yellow and black...Also in another article in the sun, the reporter said, there was a massive crowd loaded with massive yellow and black support...
I am disgusted as a member of this great club more so for the army of supporters who turned up, a truly insipid performance, i am gutted and embarrassed....
Ill be back with my group again as its early days but i tell ya if terry keeps playing the same soft *smile* and turnover merchants we will have many more troubles like last night...
