Agree completely. While I am all for getting him, all this hysteria is ridiculous. No-one blinked when we overlooked him in the ND, and then again no frenzy when we announced he was not in our plans, prior to this whole Polak business. Now we've got mobs storming the Bastille.

100% agree

It is bizarre.

benny still in town or can we expect him at the press conference at Punt rd tomorrow.... :tigerhead

Just another example of the club not knowing whether it's coming or going.

The club has itself to blame for sending mixed messages to it's desperate fans.

Are we trying to properly build a team to gain some sort of sustained success in the medium to long term, or are we trying to take shortcuts to somehow snatch a flag sooner rather than later?

Unfortunately the messages that have come fom the club during Terry's time have been the former, as the recruitment of players like Thompson, Hislop, McMahon, Morton, Polak, Bowden, Kingsley, Knobel, Simmons, Graham etc indicate that Terry and his mates like to take short cuts and are not big fans of the proper rebuild. Considering this is as clear as day then why not continue this trend and take Cousins. Why stop mid stream?

This is why tiger fans, (as desperate for success as they are) are so upset.

If the club had a clear plan to properly rebuild via drafting maximum amount of quality in the national draft, year in year out, then Ben Cousins would not have even been a consideration and this would not be an issue.

However the club has now backed itself into a corner and doesn't know what to do.

This is amazing, a couple of days ago nobody cared if we drafted Cousins but now we have complete histeria.

Personally i would prefer Gourdis!

Just got back from punt road oval and when Terry left punt road oval he looked very happy and i heard him say with my own ears that the club has not made a descision yet (with a smirk on his face).

I was also at Punt Road tonight. I took some photos of the festivities. All I can say is that the moons are about to collide.

If they don't, there will be hell to pay. I for one will be calling for the immediate resignation of Gary March and any of the Board that supported his position. It's already clear that we've appointed the wrong person in Craig Cameron. We've gone from one incompetant in Miller to another.

Under who's authority or direction was Cameron speaking at the media conference? Wouldn't a more circumspect thing to say have been something like, 'the club is extremely disappointed with today's decision by the AFL and will now have to reconsider our options prior to tomorrow's draft'. Who's Cameron to tell the world that we won't take Cousins? Was that his position or the club's? I hope its the former as per the confrontation with Sheedy a few weeks ago.
