Just another example of the club not knowing whether it's coming or going.
The club has itself to blame for sending mixed messages to it's desperate fans.
Are we trying to properly build a team to gain some sort of sustained success in the medium to long term, or are we trying to take shortcuts to somehow snatch a flag sooner rather than later?
Unfortunately the messages that have come fom the club during Terry's time have been the former, as the recruitment of players like Thompson, Hislop, McMahon, Morton, Polak, Bowden, Kingsley, Knobel, Simmons, Graham etc indicate that Terry and his mates like to take short cuts and are not big fans of the proper rebuild. Considering this is as clear as day then why not continue this trend and take Cousins. Why stop mid stream?
This is why tiger fans, (as desperate for success as they are) are so upset.
If the club had a clear plan to properly rebuild via drafting maximum amount of quality in the national draft, year in year out, then Ben Cousins would not have even been a consideration and this would not be an issue.
However the club has now backed itself into a corner and doesn't know what to do.
