I'm curious to know in what year you all think you'll next be forking out $75 for the guaranteed Grand Final Ticket option with your membership?

I can imagine 2010 will not sucker too many people in as happened this year...

its more likely that i will be dead or in jail before richmond win another flag

Don't disagree with the principle - better than lining up at midnight. However won't need to worry about GF tickets until at least 2020!!

Who knows - maybe we'll have decent recruiters, player development support and a head coach we all admire by then!! :P

And the AFL will be the International Football League and we will be playing Amateurs Division D :hihi

what do u mean? if u lot wanna dump this guarantee, its ur choice. i would rather reduce my level of membership than lose this. after following a loser club all my life, if/when we make a granny, i wanna make sure i'm there. i will never forgive myself if i'm not. if u wanna risk going into a ballot, its ur choice.

My advice is stick your $75 each year in the bank, accrue interest and by the time the Tigers make a grand final, with the money you've saved, you'll be able to land in the middle of the ground in your pink helicopter and select any seat you desire.

I'm going to keep paying. I live interstate, so I am already behind the 'value for monay' 8 ball anyway with the number of times I get to see them play. And being interstate, I would be suicidal if I missed the chance to go to a GF we were in, no matter how unlikely that might appear to be at this stage.

It is also $75 clean profit for the club. I'd probably donate that to them in some way anyway, so why not use it to get a guaranteed GF ticket.

Rather than fork out the $75, if you want the GF guarantee, put it on with the bookies for us to make the GF and see it in style if the miracle comes true. We should be at least 20:1 to make the GF making a nice $1500 day for the GF if it comes true.

Maybe the club could lay this money and charge heaps less, in that way keeping some money for the club.

Very sound thinking.

I'd rather continue to give the club the $75 than give $1000 to a scalper when the time finally comes.

I will be continuing to buy the $75 GF Tix guarantee as standard issue when I buy a membership every year, and consider it a donation to the club for at least the next 3 years as I don't think they are too likely for at least 3 years.

But I def don't want to lose my spot in line when RFC do one day make it to the GF. If I missed it after all I have gone through in the last 25 years of support, it would kill me.
Ditto

It should be called the GF sprint guarantee.

Hehe...so who is our candidate for this year? I reckon we should give the Goo a run this year.

Well, you're assuming that we'll make the GF within 13.33 years. I guess we all operate under different risk profiles. For me, I'd rather my $75 now and deal with the scalper later.

Was thinking the same thing Goody, cept my chopper will be black with a yellow sash and it will fly low over the opposition supporters so I can give them the forks as their beer and pies go everywhere ;D

I'll keep mine going, I look at it as a donation & if one day we make the GF I'm not going have to be stressed worrying about a ticket.
