settle HT, claw is on record as saying he is not a member of the club so you can't blame him for the committee's decisions.

Then his opinions should be afforded the due respect they deserve.

Darn I missed it. I thought the fishing would be good.

When it starts gettin' personal, I starts smiling.

There has been a lot of disappointing, imo, bagging of certain players recently. Surely they all deserve a bit of support and faith going into a new season. Hopefully they've worked hard on fitness, skills and deficiencies over the pre-season but if not that will show soon enough. Wouldn't it be nice if we could forget our prejudices and stop bagging individuals on past performance and give them a chance to make amends on the ground in 2009. Not saying that stuff ups and faults shouldn't be discussed but at least wait until they happen...we just might be pleasantly surprised and find a bit of faith is well rewarded.

Great sentiment that we should apply to all areas of our lives not just the football.

Who will be the new whipping boy now Tivva has retired?

Bowden, McMahon, Tambling, JON??????

Not much doubt in my mind Jordy has taken over the mantle unfortunately.

My guess would be McMahon. Sure he did not do all that well against the Mudpies, but I liked what I saw last year. I agree about bagging players, but of course on a site such as this, human nature being what it is, the team and players are going to attract criticisms no matter what some of us think about "bagging."

In my opinion, all of the above. And you can probably add Angus Graham to the mix as well. Cleve Hughes and Jay Schulz will be borderline entrants in the whipping boy stakes.

It's real disappointing. Off seasons are times when players can try work really hard on the weaknesses in their games. It'd be great to see every one of these guys step up several notches and shut people up, but I think some people just like to crack the whip regardless.

I always give a player a fresh start until round 1. Then it's game on.
