Todays forward 6 is 1 short of a front 6 that would have other coaches in concern all week trying to man up with-
Pettifer Pattison Tambling
Brown 12 Delidio
Also -there is genuine depth developing here when you consider the benches of both the one's and two's

Bench senioirs-P.Bowden, Foley, Meyer, Krakouer
Bench seconds-Oakley Nicholls,Hughes and Roach

Also running around in the twos are players who have played senior football like *smile*, Hartigan, Mcguane,Knoble,Jackson,White,Rodan,*smile*-might head down to Frankston tomorrow with all this on show!!

I cant remember the last time we had this sort of depth-great for the present in terms of covering injuries and pressure on for spots in the team----BUT even better for the future

Pattison is really a Simmonds in training and is not a CHF. Richardson will have to do that and Hughes will need to slot in at FF behind him next year. Problem is it should be the other way round.

It's a classy forward line these days Gordie, plenty to slot in when new matchups are needed too.

I might add that it sure helps when we're winning our share in midfield too.

As classy as it is Tony Shaw and Wayne Carey both believe thatd bepsite Richo being our greatest fwd....the side is more unpredictable without him and a much more dangerous foe.

Eitehr way I dont care as Richmond won and are WINNING!

lets have a look here. hf pettiffer flanker who even i have to admit has improved in recent times has a long way to go still. pattison chf is not up to afl standard atm have grave concerns about him. tambling is a midfielder who has skill but he has a hell of a long way to go.
fp brown well hes a flanker but hes a forward a class one at that.
richo ff is 31 wont be there when and if we enjoy being a really good finals side. deledio will play onball for the vast majority of his career.
of the bench players p bowden tall utility player iplays like a flanker. foley out and out in and under onballer. meyer looks to be a player hff hbf doesnt find a lot of the pill but has good skills and works hard defensively.would like to see him played on a wing. *smile* dud.j o n hbf winger not a forward. hughes fast leading ff fp isnot a pwer forward and wont become one. roach will be delisted at yrs end. of the other mentioned white may make a good crumbing forward jacko has some question marks about him mcguane has excellent hands and a good leap would make a good 3rd tall forward. and schulz could make a ff but have serious doubts about him making the grade.
as far as im concerned we need a versatile chf a ff for when richo goes a small forward pocket someone like phil matera
