I am writing in the hope someone may be able to help out with a good friend that has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. We are trying to raise some funds to help support the family during the tough times ahead.

The Phil Watts Foundation Benefit

We are holding a Gala Dinner/Auction evening on the 28th February 2009 to raise funds for our friend Phil Watts.

Whilst times are tough out there at the moment we ask you to spare a thought for the Watts Family of Perth who are doing it especially tough at the moment.

Phil Watts, Sales Manager at Chivers Marine, is a 35 year old loving husband to Alaina and wonderful hardworking father to two young children, Lachlan and Felicity, aged 4 and 7.

In August 2008 Phil was diagnosed with the terminal illness Motor Neurone Disease. The disease is debilitating in its progression and Phil will require special care and more importantly their family home will have to be transformed quite radically as the disease progresses.

We are holding a Gala Dinner/Auction evening to raise much needed funds for his family to carry out these necessary alterations such as ramps, rails, special bed, medical equipment and alike.

We are currently looking for kind hearted people and businesses to donate any sponsorship by way of funds or goods that they can, to be auctioned on the evening. We shall be having a major auction for main items and also a silent auction during the evening so no matter how large or small a donation you could manage it is all so much appreciated!!!

Major auction sponsors will receive their logo and company information displayed with other major sponsors all evening on a large video screen along with a special thankyou speech and encouragement to the 250 strong crowd of friends, family and business associates to support those kind businesses.

i hope that we can all look at this and hope that we could help in some way. i have emailed the club requesting some sponsorship with maybe a signed Ben Cusions jumper but unfortunatly i have not heard back as yet.
