huge anti climax. muscat is playing on. strange to call a press conference for something most mvfc fans knew anyway...

The reactions of your supporters on many forums and media streams for this press conference was priceless, will read again. :hihi

Especcially your beloved mv.net site. Had an email from a mate with some of the posts on that forum. Priceless. ;D

The signings will come, your supporters need to relax. MV will be challenging for honours again this season.

depends on whats open. possibly the dickens if it's open. if not, maybe the celtic club or birrarung marr. i'll try and find out for you. in 2006 i went to the turf bar for all 4 games. i'm hoping to get a group together to do the same thing this year, but i'm not hopefull of that happening for the games that kick off at 4:30am. if i'm stuck on my own i think i'll grab a hip flask and head towards birrarung marr.

agree. the reaction from mv supporters was way over the top, but no worse than the reactions of richmond supporters on here (me included) at times. :hihi we are just venting frustration at the lack of signings more than anything else. we're the only team who hasn't announced any signings yet... but there is still plenty of time and i am not the slightest bit concerned.

been mentioned on the mv forum that heart have around 7,500 memberships. can you confirm this TB?

Nope, not close to that mark as yet I wouldn't have thought.

I reckon that would be an aim to get too, not what is the current figure.

If the Heart can get 10,000 members they will be delighted I would imagine.

Got this emailed to me:

Looks like their supporters are doing some great work at the moment.

no vuvuzelas at heart games? gee what a shame. i can still guarantee some tools will rock up at games and try to to blow them. but they'll be confiscated.

oh, and i heard behich is trialling with you guys. after costing us the championship, was he a heart (trans) plant? :hihi

funny that sarkies doesn't even know the name of his teammates.

Yeah we are made up of about 60% trialists at the moment and Sark's has been in rehab the whole time. Won't know many of his teammates yet. He is close with Matty Thompson and Aloisi though.

Still have the Beauch to come, Terra, Skoko and a couple of others. Hopefully we can mold the team to play the way JVS wants by the start of the season.

Aziz is trialing with us, his chances of making it are rough, but he has shown some decent signs. Keep an eye out for Theo Markelis, the Valencia product. Gun.

Things are going well for us though, despite the 2 nil defeat, positive signs from a few of our kids. One of them looks to be truly a special product that may not be with us for a long time.... ;)

As I said we will be competitive...... ;D

Gee, the World Cup thread slipped down the boards quickly :hihi

6 weeks til the new HAL season starts Streak. i'm slowly pulling my finger out to organise my travel to sydney in week 1. will also keep my eyes out for when tix go on sale for the very first derby ;D

thanx for the youtube clip antman. while it doesn't look like he played, it will be very hard to see theo in a roar shirt... especially after losing langerak.

at last, a signing by Victory - keeper michael petkovic.

now for 1, perhaps 2 strikers please ernie and gary. and maybe a central defender as well.

What happens to Moss? Be much better if we can dish him off to someone and secure another young developing keeper.

well i don't think it's a 100% certainty petkovic will be no.1 over moss just yet. while his confidence was shot last year, he's not a complete dud and did go to the world cup. but i agree it makes more sense to have 1 experienced keeper, and one young keeper coming through.

its been announced that the mvfc v boca juniors game is gonna be telecast on ch10/1hd and sentanta sports. pretty big coop for victory if true.

i wonder if it's a sign that ch10 are testing the waters?

took this off mv.net

http://www.elfvoetbal.nl/nieuws/106817_coolen-naar-australie-rbc-moet-nieuwe-trainer-gaan-zoeken

translated, it reads like this:

RBC Roosendaal is looking for a new head coach. Rini Coolen today traveled abroad to negotiate with a new club. The probability is more than overwhelming that he not return to the orange shirts.

Coolen, in West Brabant, the post of football affairs blank, signed six weeks ago a new contract that he has an extra season at RBC Roosendaal would connect. It was a clause in which the 43-year-old Oldenzaler could leave as there was advancement. That is the case.

RBC Roosendaal gives clarity on Monday before leaving any interim Coolen, since October 2008 the upper hand in the Maritimes Flex Stadium. Assistant coach Eric Hellemons take courses over the next few days.

UPDATE: Coolen going to Australia. He signs a contract for two seasons with Melbourne Victory , the number three in the Hyundai A-League. Coolen Roosendaal had a contract for one season.

is that us? or adelaide united who has yet to appoint a coach? i'm not sure how much credence we can give the article considering we're not the no.3 team :hihi
