PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I went to see the NTFL Grand Final today. St Marys gave Waratahs a real pumping, 21 goals to 8 :o. Hops wont be happy!

At the presentation a mate noticed that it was Sheeds presenting the premiership medals. I expect he will be off to the Tiwi Is Grand Final tomorrow. Afterwards he was having photos taken with all comers. So I took my opportunity to go shake his hand, wearing my Richmond hat. After waiting a minute or two he shook my hand and peered closely at my hat. He took me aside and said in a quiet voice that things will improve at Tigerland, he is going to make us 'a million' over the next three years by getting us various games, including an international match. He also mentioned that he was proud of being a life member of the club.

I said anything he could do to help the club would be greatly appreciated by us supporters.

He was then swept off by others wanting a chat.

I'm not sure that I would want him as coach, but it's good to hear that he genuinely wants to help our club.
