PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

So Blade says we're weak mentally and have a poor culture after a game where we were outmuscled from go to whoa. Well, here's a simple drill that might help to change that culture.

Name, Shame and Slay 'em
Each week the coaching panel determines the five or six players who shirked the contest or whose tackles didn't stick. Name them and shame them. Then subject them to a form of British Bulldog where they have to "run and carry" a ball through a gauntlet formed by the rest of the team. Let them get bashed and crashed a dozen times and see how they respond the following week.

And if they find themselves again among the dirty half-dozen they'd have to follow another round of Name, Shame and Slay 'em followed by a few bouts in the boxing ring and a trip to Coburg.

That might smarten a few of them up.

Alternative suggestions are welcome as long as they comply with the Geneva Convention and the ethical treatment of laboratory animals.
