As a mad Richmond supporter I hate where the club is as much as anyone. 27 years is too long between success and the 're-building' excuse does get tired. However, reading through the posts on this site (and yes i do understand that it is a free speech forum) is at times difficult as it radiates such negativity (understandably). So i thought that it would be interesting to see if we could go one day without being negative about our club. Its only one day and i propose that it be Wednesday 16th May.

What do you think...is it posible for PRE to refrain from criticising its players, club, fellow posters, club staff etc. for one day. I doubt it, but it could be interesting to try....As a measure to whether we are achieving this...maybe this thread could be used to post any positive messages on Wednesday. Any messages of positivity that you feel like posting, could be posted on this thread...and maybe the positive support here may flow to a positive mentality by the players come friday night.

Or i could be just a mad b@stard

Well done TS. :clap

We're in alot better condition now from what we were 3 years ago.

I look forward as the improvement spreads to all facets of the club.

Currently the cup's half full.

In a few years time, I can see it overflowing. ;)

there is a a lot of negative prayer energy from the media and the supporters and i think it has an impact on the whole club.

we all could be a little more positive

We did that once recently, before the season started. It was when the site was down for a major upgrade. There were no negative posts.

I find it easy. I don't see questioning things as criticism though. There's no need to abuse players club and staff and I'm glad you mentioned fellow posters too TS. Some people seem to exist to get up other posters and even discuss them on other sites.

It's very easy to discuss opinions without making it personal.

I don't know what to say to flow on to the boys next week other than I'll be watching/listening and barracking for them 100%. I'll even tip them this week...oh yeah I do that every week. Eat 'em Alive Tiges.

I promise I will not be negative about our dud performances this year and will refrain from criticising the cr*p efforts. :)

Rosy,

Agree and i know that questioning is not necessarily criticism...it is healthy. I do suspect however that this forum plays a part in the culture of the RFC and as such thought it would be great if PRE took a proactive action (just for one day) to help build a more positive club atmosphere by posters refusing to criticise the club and its associated parts for one day. Just a thought

Barracking for Richmond is a thousand times more enjoyable than doing the BAS....but back to the bank statements for now. :blah

Hmm, if it was half full would we be 16th and winless. Gotta love your optimism though. I'm praying you know your stuff as well as I've come to think ... and not just drooling at the prospect of sourcing a suitable no.1 pick!

I vow I will have one full day of positives,

as soon as the team vow to play 1 whole game of football. I add to play it with pride and intensity.

Just get out this morning's HUN and have a look at the Coburg results.

That's where it all begins.

Sounds like Wednesday's a day off for the moderators - could be a quiet day. ;D
