I was just wondering others PRE'ndrs thoughts of the All Australian ruckman for 2006.

Now that Cox has gone down for the next six weeks, I can't see anyone else except Troy Simmonds being named the All Australian ruckman.

He has played cosistantly good footy all year and is as mobile as some midfielders.

Simmo for the ruck position for mine.

White, Lade, Simmonds, Cox. Cox has been nursing an injury for some weeks. Could come back into contention if he blitzes on his return.

I'd have thought Simmonds was a good thing for the number two berth at least.

Some journos have suggested Everitt. They obviously haven't been to the football this year. ;D

I think Simmo is a walk up start at the minute...

Its probably harder to pick the worst....Could be a couple of Boys at geelong that may fit the bill there : ie King & Ottens

I love SImmo and he has been playing great however Lade has been playing pretty good this year and will go down to the wire, if not 1st ruckman Simmo will make the bench!

On current form Simmonds is a good thing to make the All-Australian side. They usually go with a couple of ruckman so he should at least be chosen in the forward pocket or on the bench, given his mobility and improved marking/kicking.

I think Lade is slightly ahead of Simmonds.

Agreed, but wouldn't be surprised to see Simmonds jump ahead based purely on this week if he has a good one. Head to head will count heavily if they're both closely rated which you'd think they would be ATM.
