He was good in that too. I went off him for a while when he was comprehensively out acted by De Niro and Hoffman in Sleepers. He’s improved as he’s aged.
Matthew McConaughey, the most overrated actor ever. From memory only film I liked him in was Dazed And Confused. Just picks dud movies one after another
I'm not that familiar with his older films but I thought he was good in True Detective and decent in Interstellar.
He's brilliant in Dallas Buyers Club and thoroughly deserved the Oscar.

Alright, alright, alright! Was great as Wooderson in Dazed and Confused. That was also Ben Affleck’s last indie film.
And when he runs it's like watching someone trying to run like a robot trying to run like a human trying to run like Robocop trying to run like a 3 year old running for the first time.
yeah, highly overrated movie IMO. Started OK but then just turned into a series of barely related scenes. MM was OK in it.
What did you think of White Hunter Black Heart? Bit of a different role. There is a small pocket of critics who reckon it’s his best performance, but I hated it.
