Not sure about that.
He is back in Melbourne with his entire family.

Richmond assistant coach Adam Kingsley has emerged as a leading candidate for the vacant Adelaide coaching position.

According to AFL Nation’s Tom Rehn, Kingsley interviewed “really well” and is “right in the final frame” for the Crows’ top job.

Not surprising that clubs searching for their next senior coach would approach assistants at the more successful club.
Richmond being the most successful it is not surprising that Leppa went to (and cam back from) Brisbane. Rutten and Caracella bolted over to Essendon and look what's happened there. Even Liddel wnt to carlton as its CEO.
Kingsley would have been targeted and who knows what will eventuate there.
One thing is for sure, Richmond Football Club is now the envy of all other AFL organisations. RFC is in the spotlights.
Other clubs want to steal or IP because they haven't yet figured this blueprint out.

There is also the road Hardwick took to become an AFL coach.
Transition from Port Adelaide premiership player to assistant coach, before sitting alongside Al Clarkson as an assistant during some of Hawthorn's successful years.
Then onto senior coach at the mighty RFC.
Assistant coaches being mentored by Hardwick would be a blessing for their future coaching careers.
And being the man he has become, I am sure Hardwick is also learning from his assistants.
For instance, Caracella will be a big loss in the short term, but I do believe the coaching structure at Richmond is now more mature, more wise, more bold and more flexible to cover his loss when it comes to developing game styles and strategies.

Hope he doesn't go. Why would you want to coach Adelaide when half the list is leaving? Career suicide.

Didn’t people say the same thing to Terry Wallace when wanted the role at Richmond?
Seemed to work out fine.

Yeah, but that is also an opportunity. Half the list leaves and you would get to shape the incoming list. I can see the attraction but patience with a developing team in Adelaide may be hard to come by.

Being patient as a Coach is one thing, having the board be understanding of the situation is quiet another.

Kingsley to the Crows should make a lot on here happy considering the bagging he was copping half way through the year.

People need to chill.
We have still held on to leppa McRae and balme.
