Basically says his body is shot from the quick scan I gave it.

I know he played over 150 games, nearly entirely with Freo, but can someone tell me if any one of those games was remarkable.

Doesn't matter, 162 games is a amazing effort.

Yes it is.

Every team needs its toilers as well as its stars. Matt Carr is what we would call a true "Schlepper". ;)

Shame about M. Carr. Hasn't been right for... four years now? One of those blokes who's been crockish for a while anyway. But who has got himself on the park for some good games.

Good skills when right. Excellent attitude on the park - two-way outside mid. Fine overhead if not particularly strong at ground level. Orthodox player with few tricks who deserved better luck. Genuinely 200 game class.

Top ten at his club when right, Phanto, so a good class schlepper.

Josh Carr might indeed be a scumbag but he would be a perfect addition to our midfield.

An uncompromising inside mid who would fit in very well with Foley, Delidio, Tambling and Cotchin.

Carr was a handy player at his peak but appears the right decision his retirement.Good on him for pulling the pin & not trying to take the extra dollars & playing on.
