Adelaide and Port in frenzy over Pavlich offers tigers a chance

You cant trade your picks in the PSD.Good idea though.
Perhaps we should do a Buckley.
Get Pav over here via the PSD for one year.
In return the Crows or Port give us:
Their 1st rnd pick this year for Shultz
Next year they give us their first 2 picks for Pav.
;D

Don't know if it's legal, but like the way you are thinking.

After the Veale deal anything is possible, I like the prospect of Pav playing for Richmond on a one year deal though, I would however wait for the exchange of draft picks to occur in the year we let him go. I think it's bad for the team fabric to have a guy who is destined to leave no matter how things eventuate, bad for Pav who doesn't get the opportunity to settle in and bad for the recipient of Pav in the event he sustains a long term injury.

Millers 1 million a season offer seems like a bold opening gambit and I expect some robust trading from this point on. Too get things rolling he may even suggest pick 1 for a player, and two picks between 10 and twenty, downtrading seems like the most likely scenario if we're involved in this deal.

Jack Cahill mentioned on SEN pavlich has family connections to the Crows & that is where he is likely to be next year.

Pav wants to go home and play in a successful side with good coaching ................. so why would he even contemplate coming to RFC come on people get real.

Collingwood would be the only Victorian side with a chance to get Pavlich but the kid aint going any further than Adelaide should he leave the Frockers.

Connollys fate is sealed for mine, if he stays as Freo coach then Pavlich will leave for sure.

I know who th Frockers would rather keep ;)

He would stay at Freo ahead of coming to us.

Absolutely MB - Punt Road would be one of the last Clubs established stars would want to go to unless they grew up as feral tiger fans.

Interesting..................Love to have Pav over.

But if you were Pavlich why would you want to play for Richmond?
Well we should have bloody had him .Thanks Frawley you Dud.

Craig sounds like a plan I would agree to.

Would also like to see Pav come to us for free in the pre season draft

Get over it. It was along time ago.

The Pavlich sega is certainly one to watch. With Port and the Crows offering big money, the dockers will need to up the payments to Pav should he decide to stay. This would mean they would need to release other players to afford to keep Pavich at Freo.

I am so happy that Freo is now seeing how it feels to offer big money to players from other clubs. Richmond was sucked in having to offer Gaspar more than he was worth to remain at Richmond.

Pavlich would never agree to come to a rubble like Richmond. What we should be doing is looking at offer players they have to which they will need to offload. Haselby is one that springs to mind. We need a polished midfielder who can win the ball. Byron Schammer is another player that that come be handy at tigerland. Maybe even a Ryan Crowley.

Pavlich is reportarly home sick.
Both South Australian teams will make serious attempts to get him to their clubs.
Although i believe Crows are in the box seat (Pavlich supported Crows when growing up).

I don't believe RFC will be involved in any complicated trade deal to get Pavlich to SA.
Both SA teams have up and coming midfielders that have come from WA, and they have leg speed to boot.
Freo's midfield is ageing and lacking leg speed. This is what the SA clubs will use to lure Freo into a deal.

If Crows get Pavlich, i don't see Port chasing Shultz. Port have a few good young forwards at the moment and would more and likely stick with them. If Port managed to get Pavlich, i dont see Crows chasing Shultz either. Crows would more likely to go for young draft meat and stick with their makeshift forward line.

I'm afraid Shultz is more likely to stick with RFC next year and see out his contract. If he does, i wish him well.

Even if we did draft pavlich many years ago , he wld already be back in adelaide. Why would he stick around and keep playing for a rable like us.

We continue to be the joke of the competition.

Things are a long , long way from changing :help
