PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

With the understandable frenzy over in SA in regards to Port and the Crows about to throw absolutely everything at Matty Pavlich due to their desperation for a long term Key forward of class, i believe that this situation will offer the tigers a golden opportunity to cash in.

The loser in this frenzy (should there be one or either club should the Pav stay atn Freo)will be ripe for a trade for a key forward and i believe the time could be right to utilise this situation to offer up Jay Schulz, as there would reamin a possibility of getting the best possible trade result for the RFC. The fact Jay is SA boy and struggled to get opportunities at RFC and now up against Hughes and JR also will will help

With the possibility of getting draft picks that could nab the tigers an extra key midfield junior such as a Millar or the likes of a McEvoy or Gaertner or McKenna with such a pick i am of the opinion now that the time to offer up Jay when the trade period heats up may be viewed as compensation for the Adelaide club that dips out.

This imo is a situation the club should investigate and pounce upon when the time is right and i cant help but feel thatl the tigers could be a winner in this situation if they play their cards right.
