The AFG Tiger Expo - 'A Celebration of Richmond Football Club'

Date: Monday 26 June - Saturday 01 July 2006

In the lead up to the big game on Sunday 02 July, when traditional rivals Richmond and Collingwood play each other at the MCG, the AFG Tiger Expo will be held at AFL World celebrating the illustrious history of the Richmond Football Club.

Celebrate some of the Great Grand Final victories with the 1967, 1969, 1973, 1974 culminating in the famous, record breaking margin, win over the 'Magpies' in 1980.

Celebrate with players and coaches from these great moments in the Club's long history and meet the 2006 players.

The Richmond Football Club is the most represented club in the Australian Football Hall of Fame 'Legends' Area - pay tribute to Jack Dyer, KB and Ian Stewart.

More details to follow........

Cool, thanks NYT. Didn't even know the hall of fame had a web site.

Good to see we have more "Legends" than the scum. Too bloody right!

Bartlett, Dyer and Stewart.

What does QV stand for?

Rosy, QV is the old Queen Victoria Hospital.

Now a shopping / office / residential development in the city and home to the AFL Hall of Fame

i will have to go and have a look seeing as it is uni holidays ;D

might make a day of it, tiger training then expo

Thanks for the QV info.  I've got 4 nights in a city motel to use.  The expo sounds as good an excuse as any for a stay in Melbourne.  I really want to see Heart of Gold at the Nova cinema too.  Might have to get the Melways out. :-[

Great inititive by the Club and AFG (i assume they tipped some cash in).

These are the sort of 'small' things that have been sadly lacking - for over 20 years!

Think I'll have to have an A/L day that week.

Wonder which premiership excites me the most?

Too much info #4.  :o

Yeah you're right Rosy.    But I'll never forget that day, touching the cup near the forward pocket (plenty of room once the pies supporters left after half time) that was held by my best all time player (GR, No 4, Pretty Boy).

You're a lucky duck #4. I've never even been to a grand final.

Phantom out of interest which premiership cup did you choose for your PREnder of the year award?
