AFL logos on numbers?!!!

Heavens above, now the AFL have plonked their logo on the players' numbers!

That makes, by my count, five or six of them (depending on their number) splattered on each guy out there - what's in store for season 2008, an edict that each player must have the logo tattooed on his forehead?

I vaguely recall seeing this on the AFL website or in the paper.

They had the AFL jumper up against an English Premier League jumper (? I think?)

Yeah, next we might see a small sash on the top of our jumper with the rest covered in logos.

Was it a rule that you had to have the logo on the back of the jumper?
Because from what i can see West Coast dont have one on there numbers but Sydney do.

Agree H, can't see the logic in it at all. Not one of the AFL's smartest moves.

West Coasts AFL logos were apparently in white, although I could not see them (I must be going blind) others did....
