I'd much prefer them ban spitting and/or snotting than worry about socks.

From memory the AFL donated the entire fine to a cancer charity.

Point taken though, they are money-hungry dictators.

I was reading a round 11 Footy Record last night and there's a pic in it of Gherig wearing a blue and white checked armband. Does anyone know if that was AFL sanctioned (read they benefited from it in some way) or if it wasn't were the Saints fined?

Was it against the Hawks. If so it is sanctioned.

Someone should drug test the AFL commission as they are definately on the heavy stuff.
