Apparently “huge ramifications” for whoever loses this week. FMD. 4 rounds into a 22 round season and this flog Elmer Fudd wants to write one of us or Port off if either goes 2-2.

Hah hah hah. You couldn’t make this stuff up.....”huge ramifications.”
I was going to post this, but couldn't be bothered what Blobbo dreams up. This idiot seems to forget that there is a difference of 3 flags between us & Port.

Mark McClure is a dud football personality and a dud commentator.

An example was his bagging of JR for staying stagnant in the goal square during one of our forward entries in the last quarter.

The reality was that Jack had thrown out a long lead that was ignored and returned to deep forward while we chipped and stuffed around before tacking a ping at goal.

It reminded me of his comments re Richo round 1, 2009 when he lined up on the wing against Waite. Ball was bounced and Richo tore into the centre square from the wing. Waite stood back and the ball was spat back otu to him. He took off on the run. Richo emerged from the mass of players in the middle and charged for the defensive goal square as he was now on the opposite side of the square to Waite.

Waite goaled, and Mark McClure was laying the boots into Richo for not chasing his opponent even though his opponent had simply slacked off the play and was lucky the ball came back out to him.

MCClure's description to radio listeners was that Richo was standing back on the wing with his hands on his hips watching his opponent run off while others gave chase.

He's a first class fabricator of his own deceitful anti Richmond narrative!
Wonder if he said the same thing about Silvagni one day when they put him on Richo and Richo sprinted 80 metres up the ground, dragging Silvagni with him, then the ball went into our forward line, Richo hammered back down the ground and took an easy mark, while Silvagni huffed and puffed metres behind him.

That final in the early 2000's was shaped by Richo's dominance. Otto had kicked a couple of early goals, but all of them were assists from Richo boltin gall over the place and SOS staggering around behind him completely gassed.

Carlton ended up having to play a deep defence that day, such was Richo's dominance early on. It meant that despite not bein gthat far ahead, i personally never felt like Carlton were a threat that day.

When would be the best time to back us for top 4/the flag, after tonight's loss or next week's?

Wrap of the first segment tonight.

Melbourne is now the best team in it. Montagna reckons they can go all the way (that’s only until they lose and then the Bulldogs will be the best). Saints are awesome again everyone is happy. Tom Hawkins plays for Geelong so can not possibly be responsible for his elbow smashing May’s jaw to smithereens.

Briefly reviewed the Richmond game without actually speaking about Richmond. Port are awesome because their young players got injured but they still won their 43rd game in a row against Richmond at Adelaide Oval. In fact Mincey thinks that’s not enough and reckons Port should be allowed to play Richmond at least 3 times a year at the Adelaide Oval. Probably because they couldn’t get near us at the G and if Geewhinge can’t win the GF then anyone but Richmond. I think Mincey believes that Richmond should never be allowed to play at the G ever again.

Clarko just made a great point. If Robbie Gray’s handball had of gone over the boundary line instead of through the behinds then it clearly would have been paid a free kick. As the rule stands it’s the right decision but in reality what’s the difference between it going over the goal line or the boundary line. Deliberate is deliberate. The rule makes no sense.

As an aside how the hell did George completely miss that kick off the ground?? Didn’t actually realise how close he was. He definitely should have made contact and kicked the goal.

And if the boundary umpire blew his whistle when a Robbie Gray took the ball over the boundary line, jumped the fence, ran up the aisle and lined up for a beer before passing the ball to a teammate, the game would have had a different result.

Just saying, he was a full body width on the wrong side of the boundary line.

And don’t forget: Andrews, Moore and wait for it...Liam Jones ....are the 3 best defenders in the league. Grimes must again be chopped liver now it seems.

Anyway, I only tune in for the laughs like this. Magnificent stuff.

Gawwy getting vewwy excited about the Dees. Reckons the Pies should look at how the Dees have cured their forward line woes and reached premiership favouritism in 4 short games.

Dees are the best!

Dees are gonna struggle for the next 3-4 weeks without May, especially against the Tigers, it means Lever now has to play on an opponent (JR8), and Tom gets Tomlinson.

A third marking forward might be the order of the day against the Godeez, and CCJ might be the man for the job to help Nank with Gawn as well.

Truth be known, it wasn't even their second win in a row against Richmond at the Adelaide Oval.
