i dont think richo would want to be captain..think he is just loving his footy now....why put yourself under so much pressure at this satge of your career?
 
Coming equal third in the most prestegious player award in the afl surley places Richo as one of the better players in the competion ,the reception he recieved from his peers last night shows the high regard he is held by the football players , and most importantly he bleeds yellow and black and deserves the opportunity to lead the club for at least next year before handing it on to the younger brigade
 
Win lose or draw last night was "Richo time" Finally the man we love was getting the moment he deserved & he had everybody barracking for him & the way he played it up on camera was great viewing also.
 
Everybody is aware that Kane Johnson's tenure is over, but Chris Newman has got the captaincy in the bag.
 
I'd be more than happy for Richo to take up a place in the leadership group, but perhaps not the captaincy. However, if Richo really wanted the captaincy, and Newman was willing to wait another year, then that would be different.
