Its quite possible he could wind up in the preseason and if he is still available, could be a Tiger.
No chance of Acker going into the PSD as he,s contracted to the end of 2007.

With Cogs out for at least 12mnths

Lets be honest here with Cogs doing his knee and the likelyhood of not getting back to his best until the 2008 season and if you take into consideration where our list is at and what a hole he leaves,Should we seriously look at recruiting someone like Jason Ackermanis?
Yes Acker has baggage and is not the same type of player as Cogs is however our lack of depth in the midfeild is a worry.
Your thoughts.

Re: With Cogs out for at least 12mnths

WIth Cogs out it is a wonderful opportunity to ge another 10 games into Foley and White during 2006. Maybe there will also be room for Humm for a few games to find out if he is worth keeping in 2007.

Or maybe Jackson will finally find a spot.

What will Akermanis do for this team, other than second guess the coach and mouth off for a couple of years?

Lead by example on the field like he has done at Brisbane.

TW confirms we do not want Acker ...

Richmond coach Terry Wallace has ruled out the Tigers trying to capture the services of controversial Brisbane Lions star Jason Akermanis for next season.

Now I'm sure this will finally put to bed all the debate about who and or what we would have to give up to get him.
