PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I went to the new members welcome night on Wednesday as a new paid up member which was given to me a a Xmas present. There were at least 200 hundred of us and they took us on a tour of the MCG, training rooms, coaches box, the long room and a walk out onto the playing arena. Then back to the Punt Road Oval and a tour of the gym and change rooms.

On the way back from the MCG I had the chance to speak to Alex Rance. He is a very nice young man and very well spoken. I asked him how tall he was and while I forget what he told me in cm he translated it as 6'4" and said that they had done the tests and scans and he was still growing and would become taller. I know a few on this board who would welcome this information. He also said that Terry had told him he would be playing against Collingwood and he would like to spend some time in the middle. When I questioned him on this he said that he kept up with Matty Richardson on all the Tan runs and couldn't see why he couldn't play there.

Other players there on the night were Johnston, King, Schulz, Collins,Tuck and Dale Weightman. Hope I didn't miss anyone. King the assistant coach was there also. Tucky was great as well and really friendly, posing for photos and signing autographs. After the tours we were all invited up to the social club for nibblies and a drink where King coducted a question and answer show with the players.
All in all a great night and I must thank the RFC for putting it on for its new members
