Alex Rance

Averaging 25 touches and 10 marks a game. If he kept those numbers up will doing a good job negating his opponent (Waite 1 goal, Cloke 3, Clark, 2) he'd surely be a chance for AA?

would be awsome but your forgetting one thing barnzy where richmond tigers they would end up picking scarlett or fletcher

Proud of Rance. Not for last year's efforts but for this year. He hasn't settled for just last year's form which is great. He is taking some strong marks down back and just love his overall attitude.

Slipping under the radar a bit is rance, turning into a very good defender,

but at this stage rarely gets a mention .

Did Geelong have any winners that day?

Just reckon Rance struggles with the really powerful blokes. Pods is a brute.

He's a brute but slow. Will be made accountable against someone like Rance.

Rance will go to Hawkins
Grimes>>>>>>>>>>Pods

Probably right but wouldn't mind seeing Grimes on Hawkins and Rance on Pods to take advantage of Pods lack of pace.

Best things about his game, is he managed to take some great contested marks against Clarke.

Really happy with his progression. As good as he was last year, he could be the most improved player this year.

I really liked the play when he ran out in front of the Melbourne forward line and punched the ball right back into the midfield. Clever percentage play and denied the Melbourne forwards any use of the ball, they weren't expecting it at all. One of my knocks on Rance was that he didn't play smart football and he's starting to do that now. I'm sure he'd like another tall marking play with him in the backline, shame Grimes isn't taller.

Pods is slower off the mark than Hawkins,Therefore Grimes with a greater closing speed be able to use that to spoil whereas with Hawkins it,ll be a tad tougher.

Rance is our most improved player of the last 24 months.
He is kicking a lot better than he gets credit for too.
I feel quite comfortable with him distributing now.
