All-Time Silliest Name Line-Up

Well PREnders, in the depths of pre-season, when there is precious little else to report other than the usual propaganda that 'So & So' is "flying on the track" and 'So & So' "has really balked up" and 'So & So' is "training the house down" (although a big thanks to our training reporters who provide a much more critical eye)... I offer you the most trivial of threads.

To wit - the all-time RFC line-up of silliest names (and actually playing them in their correct positions). All of the following did play senior football for the yellow and black.  I am particularly proud of the half 'back' line - certainly one that could be relied on for a rearguard action.

If anyone can better this team, I would be most interested to see their line up.

FB:  Alan Nutter             Donald Don           Ray Bloodworth

HB:  Phil Bottams           Fred Krakouer        David Buttifant

C:  Loyal Oakley             Eric Zschech         Renato Dintinosante

HF:  William Ripper         August Petzke      William Wisdom

FF:  Bruce Tschirpig        Percy Martini         Edo Benetti

R:  David Honeybun       Renato Ricci          Cyril Lilburne

INTER:  Arthur Barr-Kemp     Dr William Collopy     Gary Frangalas     Angus MacIsaak

PS. For whatever reason the centre-half-back's name comes out as 'Krakouer' when in fact it should read 'Cra**er' - you know, the word that means pooh. The automatic PRE edit function has made the change.

Geez the Krak haters have a lot to answer for, they've been calling him Cra**er for that long the computer now automatically sticks his name in.

Tyson Goldsack and Brad *smile* - silly or immature?

to me its a laugh cause the skunks drafted them.

Thanks for your suggestions. Lidsandbling, did Gary Sidebottom play for the Tiges? I may be wrong, but don't think so. A shame, as he would've fitted right in with the greats of Tigerland proctology: Bottams, Cr*pper, and Buttifant. DeanHartNorthey, I did consider Athos, but in the end he was pipped by the other guys with funny Greek names due to the fact that he never actually played a senior game.

I'd repalce Edo Benetti (not that exciting) with Che Cockatoo-Collins
Cyril Lilburne with Chicken Smallhorn
David Biffifant with Donald McDonald (then he'd be alongside Don Donald)

Pretty good effort.  The bench isn't that good and needs work

Wasn't ther a player on essaduns list called Willy *smile*? and there are the Kicketts

Not a legit team without Fatui Atata!

He played at my local club!!

What about Tony *opoulos Alby Smedts Toreston Hoepft Mordi Bromberg or Zeno Tzatsaris ??

Even the swear filter doesn't want Tony S..pazopoulos in the side for some reason

Maybe you could squeeze big *smile* Lounder in there too? (i'm just trying to get to my 100th post now)
