One of my favourite pastimes in the off-season (finals for most other fans) is to pick a side to beat the AA team. Some years you're really up against it. Not so this year. It has been an even year across the board and the AA selectors have picked a few complete duds to complement the usual cream.

Whatever edge the AA side has in the midfield we can nullify and we can destroy them through the spine.

I suppose the easiest place to start is with our CHB. Pavlich had 4 kicks and 0 goals against C.Cornes in R22. Why don't we start there? On win to us. ;)

CHF shouldn't be too hard. Our man Tredders kicked a lazy 7 again Hawthorn Of course they couldn't all have been on Croad. He'd have been hidden somewhere else after the first few. Another clear and certain win for us.

Let's give Richo the starting gig at FF with Frase on the bench. Richo kicked four on Rutten from a few opportunities. If Rutten gets into trouble they can always swing Leo Barry off the bench. :rofl

And we don't have to look to far for the bloke who cleaned up Barry Hall do we? D.Gaspar can have the gig.

Of the rest, Lenny Hayes is almost invincible. He's been the most valuable midfielder in the comp in 2005, IMO. Unstoppable, I'll cop an honourable close loss with the injured C.Ling on him. We could do better if Ling could walk. Kirk will beat either of Cousins or Ball. We’ll take Cousins.

He's given it a bit of a bleach, Doolz. Got some 70s natural action otherwise. ;D When he got his shot (a guess), that is in the big games, he fired up but couldn't play two in a row.

I thought I'd seem biased if I put Tuck in but okay, you're not biased so Tuck in and Ling out. ;D

Can we sneak Goodwin into the line up somewhere?

Bench on the AA side Dragonfly fan.

Im surprised at no Ray Hall in your alternative side after such stoic defence Dyer marker??
Surely Gumpus call fill a role.....can't he?? :rofl

And Im positive you called Tredrea an imposter and a leper too??
Im sooooo confused :confused :confused

This AA side is a joke.  First, to leave out Richo, Tredrea and Gehrig but have Croad in is one of the most inept, bewildering selections I've ever seen.  Sure Croad has had a good year, I'm not saying he's hopeless, but AA over the other 3, nay I say very loudly.

2 of Richo, Tredrea and Gerhig should be in.  You can put forward arguments ove which 2, I'd personally have Richo and Tredrea.  Pavlich can play anywhere so stick him at CHB.

Spiders had a good year as well, but not AA.  No Ackermanis is also an obvious travesty, he almost single handedly kept Brisbane in the race until the final month when he was carrying injuries.  Geez these bloke have strange ideas, and very short memories.  Star in the last 2 rounds and you get an AA geurnsey.  Sheeesh.

Big Jack, your team would destroy the AA Team!

Three Hawks for a start.  Begs the question: how many meaningless stats across half-back does a player need to accumulate to become All Australian?

Tredrea wouldn't fear too many opponents buy Croad would not be high on his list,  Kerr, Power, Tuck, Braun, Crouch and co have more grunt than the selected midfield.

By the way, have you selected Luke Power twice, or did Sam Power play the best 3 games in history?

Yes TOT, Crouch has had a blinder of a season. Also, what is the criteria for injuries I wonder? At what point is an injured player ineligble? I'd argue Browny would sneak in as the small forward even though he missed half the year.

Luke Power sure is versatile. Can hold down 2 spots simultaniously.

I'm a big Embley fan.Whack him on the wing.

M.Johnson hff.Meh.I'd prefer Browny on one leg.

Oops, I moved Power and Judd. Will amend. I should've included two Judds. ;D

I do like the bag the other teams, struggs. Especially pointing out the weaknesses of their stars. :hihi In truth I reckon Tredrea is one of the best 1/2 dozen forwards in the comp. He can anihilate T.Croad (and has).

Gumpus is one of a few to have his wicked way with the Big Meringue. ;D

evo, I'll put Embley in for Ablett. Only on a wing if you can guarantee a draw with one of Hayes or DalSanto. 8)

Hanny, my main issue with Gehrig is Rutten's record against him in 05. Milne might be a better selection than Matera. Probably more mainstream.

Hi Dyer'ere
I personally think Gehrig is lucky to be playing in such a great midfield driven side. Just imagine Richo be given some of those passes.

Even though i am a tiger and think Bowden had a pretty good year there is no way that Bowden should bbe all Australian on a HBF in front of McCleod, Gilbee, Milburn, Barry, Kennelly (dont know if he is eligable), Ben Hart amongst othgers even Barry from BP to HB!!!!
This is the worst ALL AUSTRALIAN side i have ever seen.
Everitt in the FP is a joke whilst the failure of players such as, Treadrea, Archer, Wells, Gilbee, Judd, Akker and our very own Tucky is bemusing.!!!!!!
As for Kane Cornes give me a break!!!! Ty Zantuck, Fiora and Tivva shoulda gotta gig in the AA side going by the side that has been picked

THIS IS MY ALL AUSTRALIAN SIDE!!!!

B - Wirrpunda Rutten Clement

HB- Gilbee C Cornes Barry

C - Dal Santo West Goodwin

HF Akermanis Treadrea Ricciuto

F Johnson Hall Pavlich
