Geez, a bit harsh on little Alwyn. I'd love to see him blitzing away from his opponents in a Tiger jumper. He and Aaron display some of the few truly exciting things that happen in modern footy.
I agree. Doubt anyone would be complaining about his forward pressure if he was playing for us.

tambling needs to take a leaf out of their book...run and chase hard....put pressure on...but alas....all we see is a slow canter with no real desire....

Both Daveys i dislike immensley

Aaron is a showpony and a frontrunner

Alwyn just gives me the sh!ts full stop. Plays AFL soley based on *smile* "Forward pressure" A overated and rubbish term invented by spindoctors and the like.

I have to disagree. Aaron is one of the hardest working players in the competition and has, in the last couple of years at the very least, done very few 'show-pony' type things. In fact, one of my criticisms of Aaron in front of goal is that he isn't selfish enough, and should take the shot a bit more.

You can dislike both Davey's as much as you like, but theres not a team in the competition that wouldn't take Aaron.

all speed and all soft

the archetypal downhill skier

he'll hurt some teams for sure, but king's effort on him and newman's chase down will show him that this isn't the backwater of south adelaide any more

Yep agree, the Tigers could hardly lay a finger on him once he got the ball. He is damn quick. Alot to like about the boy. Would love him at the Tigers.

I would be if he dived at every chance like last night.....3 times he went down like he'd been shot when there was really nothing in any of the incidents..

absolute disgrace!!!

Bring on Diving being a reportable offence!!!!

It was great to see Jake King pretty quickly come to understand that Davey is terrified of body on body and a bit of verbal and just generally be as unfriendly as possible. Even better to see Capt Harry High pants to try and come and fly the flag and King gave him a almighty verbal barrage and tell him to just stick to diving.

Long live the little mongrel, a dying breed in the modern sofot era.

That's a pisser. You've given me a great laugh there. We were calling Lloyd and Hille Captain and Major Harry High pants in the crowd. Spot on Scoop!!!

first year player - played 9 career games and you're comparing him to players who have been in the system much longer (Richie Tambling) and have taken years to show 1/4 of what 'Froggy' does. A small slight player does get knocked over too easily - but don't forget he's only had 1 pre-season.

was leading the comp in tackles inside 50 -don't forget that side of his game.

He's superquick, he chases and tackles and he kicks goals.

Great pick up. We'll keep him - you can have Tambling.

Uh you need to check their respective ages.

Exactly!

Isn't
Tambling - 20
Davey 23!

The Davey - King thing was funny!! :hihi Then that big sook Lloyd came in to push the little guy around. Great to see King give Lloyd the attention he deserved - 0 ... zilch!!!

Leave Lloydy alone, he is the "Velvet Sledgehammer" remember :rofl

I used to p1ss myself laughing watching him try to become the strong man of the AFL. It was like the kid from Jerry Maguire trying to pick a fight with Jonathan Brown
