Be honest now, but I am thinking of taking the $7.25 on offer for us to beat Sydney tonight. the reasons.

1. On PAPER, our side looks good like the best we have fielded this year. exorcised of most bums. forward line of Brown -Richo - Reiwolt looks potent
2. Barry out, frees Richo up for a bag
3. Hall and Keneally injured
4. A few bumish types creeping into the Sydney line up
5. Swans backing up from Subiaco
6. Tigers havnt had their against-the-odds surprise, giant killing win this year
7. Plough feeling the coaching heat
8. I am a bit mental.

I'd appreciate being talked out of it :o

Would you prefer to buy your family some bread and milk or buy it for the bookie's family gollywog?

Nah, just joking. I reckon we'll win. :gotigers

Thanks for the diagnosis Jimmy Jess, thanks for the support 74 and thanks for the pure logic Rosy (however,if we do win,the bookies kids starve, and mine are are putting lemonade on their fruitloops). It's good to know I'm not alone with PGO. While it's probably a less financially costly disorder, I believe PGP would be a much more miserable affliction?????

TG, your post almost convinced me that we will win. However, given that our players stop running at key moments in the game, i.e. when the game is in the balance, so not bet on us.

$7.25 is good odds I grant you but we have won one game for the season!

Save your money and take the bank interest.

I've put $20 on us. Thought $7.25 was pretty handy as Richo may just light it up. He has in Sydney before.

Yes, I've officially lost it.

I reckon we are overs, I've put on a pineapple on us. I don't think we will win but I cannot fathom how we can be paying over 7:1 in a two horse race with injuries to the other side (I got on at $8.19 a win). I reckon our true odds are around the 5:1 mark, I mightn't win this bet but if I keep getting value bets like this then I'll eventually end up ahead of the ledger. FWIW I reckon Melbourne a worth a punt as well.

I was extremely close to putting $20 or so on the Brisbane game where they defeated West Coast in Perth. Odds were like $9.50 or something but at the last minute I choked and kept my money :'(

I thought words such as mental have been forbidden on PRE, if that's the case there's nothing wrong using the other m_ _ _ _ word then?

Ive only backed us twice this year, once against carlton (rd 1 before I knew how poor we were) and against Port for richos 250th. Not too much damage done. I decided to take a middle road tonight and have backed us to be in front at half time ($5.20), the reasoning being that 1. we are not going to have a come-from-behind win against Sydney anyway and 2. I;ll still collect in the likely event of a second half fade-out/sydney comeback. Sort of an Optimistic/Pessimistic strategy, based on the amount of conflicting advice Ive received from PRE's this morning! In summary, I think I am only half mental, but if we win (without coming from behind at a half-time), I'll be a cashed up half mental case. :o
