There's an article in the Age about Mick Molloy replacing Peter Hellier on Before The Game on Channel 10 this year. Channel Nine axed The Mick Molloy Show in 1999, and axed his chat show, The Nation, last year due to poor ratings.
A Richmond Tigers fan, Molloy is predicting a solid year for the side. "I've got a really good feeling about the Tiges," he says in a statement. "This could be our best ninth ever."
I think we need to laugh at ourselves at times but I really don't find that worn old comment even mildly amusing. I love Before the Game but if Mick's going to hang it on us I hope he updates his repertoire before it goes to air.
