Just an interesting thought. Simmonds turns 31 towards the end of the season. I believe he still has "some" trade value left. Particularly if he can have a decent end to the season.
I'm of the opinion that guys like Vickery should be thrown in the deep end, similiar to how Carlton has been playing Kruezer. Obviously big guys take longer to develop, but I'm of the opinion they seem to develop faster when playing seniors footy.
Simmonds is just about over the hill and I can't see us performing much worse next year with Pattison, Graham, Vickery, Browne, Putt & co in the ruck. I'd like to see us get some value for him while he's still worth something. & if it's not him try and get something for Pattison.
I think we could get something for him given the weak draft, maybe a second rounder. I think it would be a worthwhile move
