I have lived through the years with little reward from the Tiges. In fact I started to believe being a Tiger supporter / member was more a curse than personal choice.

But finally I have rekindled my exitement about the season ahead !

It's not the over exagerated training reports....There have not been any
It's not the continual BS from the club.....They have been relatively quiet
It's not the build up from the media.....Like that will happen, they love to see us fail.

What has given me the most encouragement is the back window of my van. It stands in the Gold Coast sunshine day after day and THIS YEAR like no other, my RICHMOND sticker is still like NEW !
This unlike previous years stickers rarely lasted until the mid season break ( in fact rarely lasted past the first three rounds.

So I have pinned my hopes for the Tiges this year to live up to the performance of the sticker !
Rejoice all yee Tiger supporters, The OMEN has arrived and we will smite the scum in round one and deal with the balance of the great unwashed throughout the season as long as the sticker holds its colours WE SHALL PREVAIL.

Now where did I leave that beer.

cedtrains, you've had no sunshine on the Coast for it to fad! I'm surprised with all the rain you have had that it is still stuck to the glass!!

When I got my stickers this year some smart RFC mail out person decided the best way to fit a bigger sticker pack into a smaller envelope was to "fold" the stickers. Sounds like a typical "management" decision based upon "poor planning". It is annoying and indicates to me how much care RFC is taking with it's Brand and Member experience. Sure, that's a bit harsh, but when you add up all the small stuff, the micro bits and pieces it says alot for the bigger stuff too.

Get it right at the coal face and you have a much better chance for sustained support. Drop the ball and you will be penalised.

Does the (apparent) fact that the stickers are supposedly super UV resistant and last in extreme conditions bear any guide as to seasons end results ........................ bless your cotton socks "cedtrain" ............ bless your cotton socks ..................

If the stickers last until October 2008, unblemished, will that mean The Tiges have made a huge leap forward too ?

Now, where DID I leave that beer ?

Thanks cedtrains-just reminded me to get off my arse and get that faded white and black sticker off the car---here's to the new one seeing out the season!!

Our membership dept must be doing something right. I've had my 2008 membership for ages, yet a Scum (Pies) supporter I know signed up at approximately the same time and still hasn't received his! He rang the club the other day and he is far from alone, they've set up a booth at the game this weekend, betting there's going to be a few toothless ferals tossing around some choice words there.

GR,
It hasn't been all beer and skittles sunshine and bikinis up here, we really needed the wet stuff. But saying that I reckon my sticker over the last few years was fading before I even got it out of the envelope ( not so much unlike the team actually ). Very embarrasing to display a black and white Tiger sticker on the van.

Anyway I stand by the OMEN, it has performed well, exceeding past efforts, I look forward to the Tiges performing as well when compared to previous years.

I don't expect a premiership, I just want RESPECT for Richmond which has been sadly lacking.
I'll take RESPECT from the great unwashed this season as a WIN, and just watch those memberships grow, be very wary of a sleeping Tiger, it may well be waking up !
