Danny Meyer receives a kick tight up against the boundary line and scoots around his opponent, turning on a 20c coin and shows a clean pair of heels.

Richard Tambling runs Josh Hunt around all game and makes Bomber Thompson pay for not doing his homework, matching up the slowest player on the field against the fastest. Coaching careers are usually ended by stupidity and his will be no different.

Dean Polo runs off half back, reducing Steve Johnson to not much more than a spectator, scrounging the odd loose ball.

Simmonds and Knobel treat the Geelong rucks with contempt, grabbing the ball out of the air or tapping it down a team-mate's throat repeatedly.

AND, the best of all, the leadership all day came from Hyde, Newman, Coughlan, Tuck and Pettifer.

It doesn't matter what happens for the rest of this year, TW has transformed this side into a hard-running, speedy unit and they can only get better!

Pettifer tore Corey a new one.

I can barely believe that I just wrote those words - Joel Corey has been one of my favourite players in the whole AFL since his debut. But Pettifer destroyed him.

Played at CHF most of the game, too-he is standing up to be counted!

I thought Geelong had no respect for a half forward line of Hyde-Pettifer-Tambling, so they went with playmakers in Hunt-Corey and Enright, expecting to be able to run off and make merry.  They'll have more respect next time.

Do you reckon Geelong will play in the finals TOT70 :hihi :hihi :hihi

Don't worry about the Geelong players having a ordinary day, Bomber Thompson got destroyed on the magnetic board by tW.

Like you said three slow but steady playmaking back flankers against a mobile half forward line.  And he did nothing to change it.

Didn't try to isolate Ablett in the square against Raines once.
Did nothing creative, didn't try anything. Just stuck to the plan and refused to change from it.

He needs to look at himself first before ripping the players, he did not help there cause at all.

I'm often reminded of a conversation I had on the train with a cats supporter after the first Geelong game in 2004 when the Cats killed us and Ben Graham kicked four or five.

We agreed that the way was clear for Richmond to get rid of Frawley but they were stuck with their dud coach for another year or so. Nothing I have seen since has changed my mind on this. His effect on Geelong is almost as bad as Thomas' on StKilda.
