OK so it's another coaching thread BUT this guy hardly cracks a mention in a lot of the discussions.

I just remember what a fantastic job he did when he was at Coburg and how he seemed to have a great bond with the players.

I think he'd be well worth a shot and he already knows quite a few of the younger guys on our list. OK maybe West Adelaide haven't set the SANFL alight and have been mediocre but I still think there might be something there for us to work with.

Thoughts?

Always liked Andy and I hoped he would be a part of our Coaching team in development or a assistant role. I don't think he is a Head Coach though and I think he needs/wants to control his own team, hence taking the West Adelaide money. He might be popular with some of the players but we need a task master and leader (a leader only has to be respected, not liked) not another mate of the players.

Yeah that's a fair enough call. Development position could be a fantastic fit for us if he'd be keen.

Think the West Adelaide move was the right one for him at the time, he'll bounce back to AFL sooner perhaps than some people think..................

After speaking to some people at Coburg a little while back they all through AC was a top coach and was as tough as nails. I go the feeling he was definitely respected and then liked, which is how it should be. Was told be some player's family members that their kids wanted to play well for him and the team.
