Trouble is timYCW#7 we've put up with this crap for OVER 25 YEARS and I don't know about you but I may not still be around to wait for the premiership that makes it all worthwhile. Sorry - but after 30 years of supporting this club (including the last 25 or so as a member), I have every right to be angry. Especially when I see a once great club (that should be one of the biggest clubs in the AFL), wallow in mediocrity as it has for much of the last 25 years.
I'm now concerned about the club that we have to hand over to our kids. We need to fix it once and for all.
Sorry - but after 30 years of supporting this club (including the last 25 or so as a member), I have every right to be angry. Especially when I see a once great club (that should be one of the biggest clubs in the AFL), wallow in mediocrity as it has for much of the last 25 years.

I have tried valiantly to remain positive & optimistic for over 25 years of cr@p.

Cowardly and personal attacks are what makes this site great.
I think the posters on this site have actually been quite nice, considering the rubbish that was dished up on Thursday. I have been a supporter of Wallace, even of Jordy, on this site. But the players are no longer playing for this coach. They are taking the *smile*. We need a massive cleanout. Up to 25 players must go in the next few seasons. We have to be ruthless.

The performance on Thursday night was an insipid display from an uninspired group of players who GOT PAID for the garbage the dished up.
Beats me why people defend this rubbish and want us to be patient.....if it aint fixed fix it.....our club is a broken relic and under the current lack of leadership will go nowhere! Even Melbourne showed some passion and pride....we were gutless, pathetic and inept....and it starts in the coaches box because they make the decisions and are to weak to make the tough calls.

That is so applicable. I have supported this club since I was 5 in 1979. I have been a member since I entered the workforce 16 years ago. Now I am due to be a father in October and I am seriously considering walking away from the club. Why should I go through this and drag my kid through this crap? Loyalty is one thing but this continual failure is beyond a joke.
Would anyone here stay in a relationship for as long as we have when we have been lied to hoodwinked had our hoped built up only to be crashed down in an awful way and then have the same rhetoric crammed down our throats. No you would eventually crack. I was devastated like all of us with Thursday night.
Do I love the Tiges? Yes
Am I disappointed? Hell yes
Do I have passion left? Don't know
Am I sick of this? Yes
I am just sick of the fact that being a Richmond fan you are the butt of all peoples jokes regardless of who they support and as a result this link to the Tigers therefore in other peoples minds is a reflection of your character as a person. I hate this even though I don't waste my time with idiots like that. It's not about being thick skinned and what not but you do sit down and wonder when your loyalty will be rewarded and whether those in power at the Club actually want to help their club or inflate their ego.

Yes but Essendon supporters have had a bit more to feel happy about over the last couple of decades than us,
This slump they are in is a new experience for them ,
For us, it is second nature.

i was at the hawthorn watchin the game proudly wearing my RFC jumper on thursday night with some mates as i missed out on getting tickets. In the 3rd quarter some wanker (not a CFC supporter which makes it even more pathetic) leans over and says to me "see that yellow stripe, thats an embarresment". I told the bloke to "get *smile*@d" and im not embarrest to be a member of RFC.
That said ive had enough off that sought of performance being dished up in a big game where the club is on show to the whole country. 25 years of it is enough and rapid changes must be made.

You dont walk away now mate! Yep, I understand your absolute heart ripping disappointment and I heard it a couple of nights ago from either B1 or B2 as they spoke of how their young kid would go through such a loss(sorry guys can not recall right at this very moment.
Just stick with us - the supporters, at the moment, even if the team seems rubbish. We are all in this together mate. It might seem a bit rich saying that but we have just gotta keep believing. The way this club has played, recruited is up to everyones opinion on here. But i tell you bloody what, after one game, dont give up mate. We werent going to be world beaters imo this year anyway, but we are so much better than we were Thursday night. Find your passion, its there, it just gets bloody gutted after such a performance.
Be strong mate and dont walk away. Like Thursday night with the players, it is the easy way out. Not by us though, NOT by us true supporters.
