Does anyone know when we last won a round 22 game? It seems forever since we've finished a season on a winning high. A friend thought it might have been in 2001. Does anyone know for sure which year and who our opponent was in our last Rd 22 win?

Eat 'Em Alive Terry and Tiger boys.

It was still good for the H&A season to beat them, we couldn't miss, they couldn't buy a goal...

I was sitting in an Essendon area, only place I could get tickets... gee it was sweet... (I have mentally blocked out the next week)

We've won 6 of our last 15 R22 games, which is about the same as our overall winning rate in that period. Two of the wins were in finals years, one against Sydney to avoid the 'spoon, and 3/3 against Carlton - maybe we should ask to play them every year in R22. That includes the 2-point win in 1997 when we knocked them out of the finals after trailing by 40+.

The looks on the Blues supporters' faces as they left the ground that day was priceless (refer Simpsons episode "When Flanders Failed" and the explanation of schadenfreude)

I wonder what peoples best round 22 memories are?

That game is my first season's last H&A game I had been to.
The Rnd 22 game against Carlton at Optus Oval in 1997 where we knocked them out of the finals.  Ben Harrison dobbing the goal to put us in front. Sitting in the Legends Stand surrounded by Carlton filth & going bananas in that last quarter. :banana :banana :partyfest

We went very close last outing at the MCG against the Eagles. I think we are a great chance to beat them on the weekend.

St Kilda and Melbourne are still our bogey teams. The Saints have been far too strong and the Demons too smart for us in recent times. I wont be convinced we are a genuine footy team until such time as we can compete with and beat those two sides.
