Heard on WLF that the last time the Mighty Tigers were unbeaten against the other 3 of the big 4 clubs (Essendon, Collingwood, Carlton) in a single season was 1931.

Is TW set to grab another record?

Can anybody out there verify this?

Is this putting a mocher on tonights game?

It's true. It was pointed out in one of the papers too I think. 1931 is the only time that Richmond have ever clean swept the other big 3.

I notice that the media are making this game all about Essendon...the only article in the papers today (that I noticed anyway) is an opinion piece by Robert Walls about the bright future for the RFC. Of course, the Collingwood Sun is awash with our daily dose of Collingwood stories, and aren't they doing a stirling job of promoting young Heath Shaw for the Rising Star. The Hun are doing a fantastic promotional job to make sure Shaw gets the award - well done Eddie, your pressure and influence know no bounds.

The Hun always do a great job of promoting the scum, the Tarrant entire back page and half the front page the other day followed by the 2 page spread is a great example. But they have been pumping up Rainesy a bit too. Last weekend there was an article about his improvement and after we won the main heading on the article reporting the game was 'Kick it long and it Raines goals' with four photos of Rainesy, 3 actions shots and a big one of him celebrating his goal.

Bigger achievement in 1931 as there were no interstate sides.Throw in the fact that the Bombers & Blues are the bottom sides.Pies was the best win from these sides.

You're right, TG, the Hun did applaud Rainsey's efforts last week. I think my yellow and black blinkers might be pulled a bit too tight today. The article about the Bummers and that silly photo of Sheeds in fighter pilot kit irritated me.

C'arn Tiges, clobber 'em tonight!

How about Sheahan's article when Collingwood held onto the TAC sponsorship, applauding the TAC for making 'the right decision'? If that garbage wasn't written as a favour to Collingwood then I'm an idiot (both are probably true).
