Was that Anthony Mithen, Richmond Board member, on stage at Skilled Stadium presenting the Geelong Premiership players to their adoring crowd?

WTF???

Why is this guy still on board. He was shoehorned onto the board by CC at the height of his dictatorship.

Does anyone know if he has done anything of merit in the three years he has been on the board? ???

Own a horse with him seems decent bloke

He might be a decent bloke but he adds zero value to the board

What role was he doing that in? You'd think a Geelong person would be more appropriate. Seems strange but there's probably a logical reason. :don't know

He works at K-Rock so that may have something to do with it.

Agree CC but unless some-one actually knows his contribution then no-one should assume one way or the other.

The guy works in the media, why do people have to pick things like this apart, get a life seriously

Everyone has to earn a quid and I think he lives down that way so logical he MC's the event.
Maybe he learnt something to bring back to the club.

Maybe I am making a mountain out of a molehill but I didn't like the way he put on to the board by Clinton Casey.

Lets not forget the situation as it was when Mithen was put on to the board. The following extract was taken off the Footynews website

He (Mithen) formally accepted the position half an hour before Casey was due to address guests at his president's dinner. "We've talked about getting the best people like Anthony on board, and don't let anyone tell you that we're not heading in the right direction."
Mithen said his priority was to change the community's perception of Richmond.

The fact that the best we could do is Anthony Mithen speaks volumes of the Casey era

So you admit that you've made an issue out of nothing because of your own biases
Nice work, you are just perpetuating the reputation of eating our own you muppet

Looks like you are satisfied with the current situation at the Richmond Football Club. I think we have to be more concerned at people like yourself who are obviously happy to keep the maintain the status quo.

I am wanting a board with people who excel at their chosen field and are not admitted from left field as part of a last minute desperate politcal ploy. Mithen's media career and profile have dropped significantly in the past four four years and I'm not sure he is adding any value as part of the board. Gary March is starting to turn things around so lets get him the best helpavailable, surely we can do better than Anthony Mithen, that is all I am saying.

It will interesting to see if he seeks re-election when the time comes around

Next year it will probably be Eddie, opposition board member and media personality, presenting our premiership players to their adoring fans at Punt Road after the granny. :D

Off-field absolutely I do, we have stability at board level and have had two consecutive million dollar profit seasons in a wooden spoon year and another year out of the finals. The board is not the problem with this club, Casey is gone, so build a bridge.
