Without looking into the records, but I can't think of players' name (apart from Marty McMillian or Was it Bruce Tempo) having the No 14 whilst playing in the seniors in recent years.

David Thorpe, if I remember correctly.

Bruce Tempany, definitely.

May be right about Marty McMillan. Well done.

Bruce Tempanys arm

c/o McConville the kicker. (Wish, to this day, I'd see McConville on the ground with his arm outstretched.)

I still associate the No 14 with Ron MaDonald, a high marking CHB from late 50's/early 60's?

Back in the days of Ron Branton & Roy Wright...................... when victories were few and the grounds were muddy down at Punt Road.

How was the beer and meat pies back then HT?

I used to stand on beer cans to get a better view from behind the goals.

Always lots of personalities in the Tiger crowd generating the cans.

Sad that I can't remember the hot pies from those days, just the
"Drinks, Peanuts, Lollies and Chocolates!"

You're right CMT.

It was all part of the atmosphere in the outer, CMT. The footy was just a backdrop to ha action off the ground.

When I was selling them in the late 70's early eighties, it was "Drinks, Lollies, Chocolates, Peanuta and Potato Chips", which, on a good day and you got a section with the cheer squad, you could get them to shout it out for you en masse.

Apart from Tempany the #14 hasnt been a great one and neither has 16 since Bryan Wood had it altho Clokey went ok in it when he came back.
