Keep up the good work Taraba.Good to see a man who knows his sport.taraba said:Travelling Tiger said:taraba said:Yeah but if you do your homework you will have found that Kobayashi had his wisdom teeth removed around one month before the contest which effected his jaw movement. To go down by a mere three hot dogs shows that the defeat was an aberration and I reckon he'll be back to his best in the upcoming Wedges And Wings contest in Las Vegas this week.
The "reversal" incident when attempting his 64th hot dog must leave mental scars. And his patented seperate the hot dog from the roll method won't help him with chicken wings.
The only scars for Kobayashi are from simply losing. FYI here are his world records...
Brats: 58 Johnsonville Brats / Brat Days / 10 Minutes/ Aug. 5, 2006 (broken by Chestnut in 2007 contest)
Cow Brains: 57 (17.7 pounds) / 15 minutes
Hamburgers: Krystals: 97 Krystal Burgers / 8 minutes/October 28, 2006
Lobster Rolls: 41 Lobster Rolls in Boston challenge / 10 minutes/Sept. 23, 2006
Rice Balls: 20 pounds rice balls / 30 minutes
I'm tipping a big comeback with his Jaw back to normal and he'll show what a true champ he is at the wing and wedge contest IMO.
Kobayashi will be back, mark my words.
