Any word on Rodans knee injury?

Do we know if there was a "pop"!

My point with Kingy was that he was coached by a master of mind games!

Can someone remind me that a match last year that was played on this very ground caused one maybe two serious knee injuries  ::)  ::) The AFL come out on Thursday and said this ground was up to standard  ???  ???  ::) It just seems to me like three serious knee injuries to elite footballers on one ground in two years seems unbelievable  ???  ::)  ???

Was at the game and was on the ground looked alright to me..

I would be more otimistic if Kingy didn't come out and virtually state that he will be out for the year...

I'd rather be let down before some good news than continually handed rose-colored glasses - bit too much of that in recent times.

Harsh realities are real, let's have them and deal with it and get on with the big job. :clap

According to the papers he was hobbling around the dressing rooms after and if it was a complete reco I can't see him doing that. Rory was on the bench straight away throwing his boots and Duncan knew both times immediately. I'm hoping for the best for Dave, he deserves a break.

there is no formula to tell whether rodes has done his knee or not, when i did mine i walked off, had a shower then hobbled to my car (lucky was a auto). i thought i might have pinched a nerve. the scans told me otherwise. i hope its not the worst for him as it is such a huge hurdle for your body and mind it aint funny. i spose the only good thing is that he is young.

Even though we could elevate a rookie if our financial situation allowed it I doubt they'd elevate a rookie unless they were close to playing. Waste of money otherwise.

Just said on 3AW news - he's done his Anterior Cruciate - out for season.

:(

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I also heard that.
Very disappointed for DRod.

I wish him good luck for his surgery and all the best in his rehab. :(

The only hope we have is that his knee can recover quicker than usual.

Other players (eg Libba) have done that.

Heard it too Stu.  :(  Scans revealed he ruptured the ACL and will miss entire season.  Paul Armstrong said Rodan was devastated (obviously).  Can't believe this has happened.   :'(

Good luck D-Rod.  We will certainly miss you this year.  Was going to be a huge year for him.  Even saw posts on BF from non-tiger supporters who said they love watching him play, and there was a bomber supporter who was at Morwell on Saturday who said quote: "he moves so well and is as elusive as any player ive ever seen". Said he was carving them up in the game.

Go Tiges!!!

bad luck, but we need to move on hopefully it allows someone else to step and fill the spot...

as wallet stated we will go hard and if we get injuries so b it.... :(

Armstrong will be on 'AW talking about Rodan after the break (currently 4:23pm, Sun 27)

You can listen to the streaming 3AW here: http://www.3aw.com.au/main.shtml

Thats true T80 but there is also a human element to football and at the moment I and I suspect most people here feel sh!t for Rodan  :-\

Damn! Rosy would arrest me if I said what I was thinkin.
2005 for D Rod :flush :flush :flush :flush :flush :flush :flush

Lets hope they have the sense to tuck the D Rod away for the full twelve months and bring him back properly rehabbed and  brand new for 2006.
