For two weeks we've upped the ante and against all the odds we've come through with the goods. Fantastic stuff but everytime i read about these "winnable" games i start to get a nervous twitch. Don't get me wrong its just that theres been too many years of worldbeaters one week only to be beaten by bottom of the ladder the next.

I believe the team will improve this year in delivering the wins in those "winnable" matches.

The boys look more disciplined and focussed this time rather than 'flukey' and 'lucky' so i can't see why we can't carry this form on.

Also we are a lot younger than previous years so theres a fair bit of wisp and genuine youthfulness in the team. That propensity to keep going with wild abandon, throwing caution and the kitchen sink at the opposition until the game is won.

Theres definately a different feel about this mob than previous years thats for sure.

We'd be sily to get carried away and carve these games in stone as wins. The nature of the comp is that we'll likely lose a few of them. Remember, we only just snuck home against 3 pretty average teams in Brisbane, Essendon and Carlton.

yes, i get very nervous whenever we are favourites as we always seem to lose. i was very pleased that almost every journalist tipped geelong to win! (which i couldnt really understand cos we were the form team) and almost everyone in tipping comps picked geelong. have we been favourites for any game this year? (maybe against carlton?)

I think we may have been favourites against the Bombers.... but i could be wrong

THis situation USED to make me nervous...but with Wallace at the helm and a group of young enthusiastic kids im really not worried about who we play and just take each game on its merits.

I think the nature of the competition these days shows that in any given week every games is winnable.  Tigers have shown it so far this season.  Tigers can set the season up over the next 3 weeks.  Confidence is up and desire is there, which is probably just as much a result of extra compeition for spots in the team than anything else.

We have had some close games, but its as much about character that we won those matches than anything else.  In a number of games we have been headed, and would have capitulated in the past.  Instead we've fought back.

'if were behind then never mind we'll fight and fight and win'..l...havent seen this for a long time.l

Still alot to do, alot of young players with alot to learn, and certainly not up to the top teams just yet, but gee times are starting to get exciting again.

Cheers

I expect Wallace will be very fired up to win at least three of our next four games - the 'June rot' is another big past hoodoo we MUST overcome and we will be very focused on doing so.

I am hopeful we'll be 8-5 at worst by the end of the next month.

One advantage is that the Roos game is at the G and not the Dump where they killed us every year.

Indeed TF, will make a huge difference. I think we'll be fairly suited to the big ground at Aurora Stadium too.

Those Tassies better start showing yellow & black because WE made them famous.

That's the spirit 8. Time to look forward.
This team seems hellbent on creating their own history.
Positive vibes are infectious.
