Are Carlton promoting 100G at the 'G? In any way, shape or form? Have they emailed their members about it? What is on their website (I'll look after I post this).

I hope they are and will during the week. I know it is a Tigers home game, but I think it would be great if these two old traditional clubs could pull over 90,000. Geez, I'd be stoked with 80,000.

And it would be great to show Essendon and Collingwood that other teams can do it.

For an occasion such as this, we should be able to get 100G. I mean, how many Tigers supporters are there really out there? In celebration of the club's 100 years, every single Tiger fan should make the effort to get to the G next Saturday.

agree,"how many tiger supporters are there" i was suprised to see so many tiger fans at the adelaide game yesterday. on the t.v it didnt really show, but we really had a great turn out. great to see so many kids in there tiger colours :clap

I can't see why Carlton would promote it. It's our home game and they'll get nothing out of it. I'm sure they'd like heaps of supporters there for their team but that's par for the course anyway.

I agree, there is nothing in it for them.

I can't see us getting anywhere near the 100G due to the MCC members (It's just not Cricket :hihi) and other than to Richmond members and supporters that go to the game anyway I haven't really seen any hype about this game to get those who don't normally come along to do so.

85G at the G Max

There are plenty of MCC members that are Tiger's supporters - the last premiership it's still their era for memberships being grantred (takes about 20 years) though not enough to fill the Reserve. So don't be surprised if there is a decent roll-up.................

The figure admimistrators of the club have bandied about over the years is about 400,000 Tiger supporters all up-not sure what they base this on or how it is extrapolated

seriously all this how many supporters each club has is all guess, the pies and essendon say they have 1 million, i mean do they honesty really know 100%, of course not, we could have double 800K but again who the *smile* really knows all i know is how many people turn up to the games and how much money supporters pour into their club, every other stat is a guesstimate.

They would use a survey, with the demographics of the sample designed to be reflective of the greater population.

The result from the survey would them be multiplied out to get an estimated figure for the total population.

Its actually a pretty reliable measure, assuming your sample size and selection methodology are decent.

who cares what carlton are doing? this week is our 100th anniversary celebration game. are we promoting the game enough? we should be expecting nothing less than a total and complete sellout.
