i saw them today ,they didnt set the world on fire but always seemed to find that little bit xtra when needed , a sign of a good team , should go all the way

My sources tell me you're a closet Scum supporter and your prime objective was to see the Rising Star of 2007 in Pendlebury and that mop head Thomas.

Hasn't missed a game in years gpb !

they will choke in September, its their tradition that once they TRULY believe it will happen, their egos cause them to lose the game

that being said, they are great to watch right now

oh, on the survey q, of course they CAN win, just dont think they will

They're good enough but their supporters have been disappointed for longer than us.

Now's the time to load up on West Coast, or next week if you think they'll lose to Sydney.

I am not voting just yet.

On their present position, you'd have to say 'yes'.

As Rocky said, to still win when you're not playing well is the sign of a good team. I watched most of the last half and I couldn't believe the number of spilled marks and mis-directed passes, yet there were moments of top-class footy, as well.

Also, from what I saw, Gablett was having an off-day. But what about that Scarlett, eh?

But a footy season is made up of 2 types of play - one we see for 22 weeks during the home-and-away, t'other is the finals, which is a different kettle of fish.

I don't know offhand how many times Geelong has finished in the finals, let alone how many times they made it to the GF. What I do recall is their last flag was 1963 - and we complain it's a long time between flags!

In their own way, the Cats are very much like Collingwood when it comes to finals and the dreaded collywobbles. Perhaps, in their case, it should be the Gollywobbles.

They are the real deal.
Interesting that Duncan Kellway is there runner and ex Richmond assistant coach David Wheadon is an assistant coach there and mentoring Bomber Thompson.

Also got Neil Balme there too haven't they?

A team of good players, they are not the same as West Coast with their 2 or 3 superstars carrying the rest.

C'mon Guy's , where's the LOVE for my "Old Home Town" ?

No predictions yet from this Ol Sleepy Hollow Boy , their History over the past 44 years demands the utmost in patience.

They are though without doubt the FORM team at this moment and playing some great football. I've seen every game this year and I can't find a "Weak" link in their teams that have taken the field. Much tougher in every position than previous years and play with great tenacity and chemistry.

The only thing I see stopping them at the moment would be a slew of injuries to the likes of Ablett , Bartel , Mooney , Scarlett , Ling ..................actually , there's too many to name.

Mind you , their depth is pretty good as well , so other than a Total Collapse (of which this Club IS always possible) , I think the 44 year drought has it's best chance to come to an end in 2007.

;D

I've been called Jools for years, though a few spelt it Jules instead.

At least the game is on at a halfway decent time for you this week.

Man , that sounds weird......................I had a Roomate for 6 Years whose Name was Jools (spelt the same too)
Pretty warm over there at the moment Jack?

Sitting here watching a show about saving the Northern Hairy-Nosed Wombat.

Small World isn't it..................HAHAHA ..............C'mon 11.15pm......

Yeah , Thank God for that ..................those 5.10pm (2.15am here) games will be the death of me. Usually don't see any sleep for those games , and ofcourse a few win's would make it a little easier to handle also.

Still has to do it when it matters of course but easily the best overall team very strong on each line with a good blend of hardness an skill.

What took Bummer so long? ::) ,dosent get the flag should be sacked

Hotter than Hades Mate.

Actually , 90 F Today (Sorry us YANKS are way to Cool for Metric) and the humidity was only at 50% so that was a bonus.

The Norm is usually 100% and it's unbearable.

The "Armpit of the Universe" is about the best thing I could say about the climate here.
