Guys i dont want to be overly critical Monday but i just wanted some honest, from the heart feedback here.
I am not going to singal any player or players out but i just want to say that the game we often play, the flooding, the kick backwards, sidewards, points kicked through the behinds etc is really come to a point( and i know its my call ) that we play an ugly game style.
We dont seem to play to our strengths and a few players are played out of positions and we take too long to kick the ball forward to our forwards.
This "tempo" game we often play is really frustrating me.
In the last quarter against the Deemons when we opened the forward line , gave Richo and Shultz a chance we were able to score but left our run to late.
The game is simple and has become complicated in my eyes.
You either play Richo full forward with Krak told to be at his feet and leave the arc open to him or vise versa with Jay and Tambling at his feet.
We lost the game against the Dockers because we chose to play this tempo football when we were almost 3 goals up with over 10 mins to play.
The way we play the game it gives the opposition a chance( a window) to win the game against us , as we dont go in for the kill .....
Look we have had a couple lucky wins against the Blues and the Dons (escapes) , great ones they were so yes we got the 4 points no matter how but the way we play we will not get into the 8 and are unlikely to progress past the first week of the finals playing this way. I may be wrong but that is ok ..
You may all argue that the Swans played an ugly game style last year, won the grand final etc, BUT THE HAD PLAYERS WHO HAVE SKILL AND CAN EXECUTE THE GAME PLAN.
Our turnovers are killing us and are costly in terms of goals scored by the opposition.
Opinions appreciate and remmember i am not bagging any players ...................
