Are these guys up to it???

With the limited opportunity's both players have had l would say Pattison has made the most of his opportunity's and genuinly surprised me in a number of games.
His against the odds attitude is to be admired and rewarded despite his shortcomings.
Certainly showed enough to persist with.
Meyer on the other hand has shown zero in the same time. His contract runs out at seasons end and unless something truly remarkable happens between now and then ,his AFL career is over as there are few suitors for those dumped from the wooden spoon team.
We certainly cannot afford to give another talented player that cannot find the ball 100 games as we have with the Karkoaur disaster.

As much as I love Pattisons true tiger spirit and grit I reckon the best he can hope for is as a Earl Spalding type on the half forward line. The guy has a lot of courage and will be prepared to use his lightish frame as a battering ram. Unfortunately, the skills are ordinary at best.

As for Meyer, I think it is a ridiculous call to write him off. He needs the chance to cement a spot and what a perfect season we now have to do that. He has not had the opportunity to settle yet. Remember the Geelong game came out of the blue. Give the boy a chance.
