With all the talk of Nathan Buckley's coaching aspirations, where does this leave Mick Malthouse?
Next year will be the final year of his contract and his 10th season as mugpie coach.
There is nothing surer than Eddie's love for Bucks and that they would not want to lose Bucks to another club for an extended period.
He has the Collingwood job when he wants it, so with both Wallace and Malthouse's contracts finishing next year are we in a position to get Mick back to Punt Road?
If rumours are correct and we have talked to Mark Williams (whose contract also finishes next year) Malthouse would surely be in our sights also.
Can this club actually do something right and sign up a coach who would no doubt put us back on track to becoming a powerhouse once again?
