PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Just read Greg Denham's article in the Australian today.

Greg Miller is quoted with the following;

"He probably came back a bit too early after surgery and he's been pretty sore for a couple of weeks," Miller said. "He's not going to be out long term.

This was in reference to Troy Simmonds. Sounds very much like the Nathan Brown caseto me.

We have mismanaged our two best resources on the park through pure mismanagement of injury rehabilitation. With Nathan out till at least round ten then maybe two weeks at Coburg he may get on the park by round 14-15, if everything goes spot on, which it hasn't for the last 18 months. Then we rush Troy Simmonds back from his ankle and if we keep doing this, we risk his long term future as well.

This got me thinking, are we a modern day football club in any area? Not in rehab and sports medicine that's for sure.

Are we market leaders in any aspect of the game on or off the field?

Are we in the top tow or three in any aspect of the game on or off the field?

Do we have new revenue streams coming through from creative thinking?

McGurie last night discussed turning the Colling wood brand into a $100 million a year entity.
Meanwhile we cannot figure out when a bloke with a sore ankle should get back on the park.
