Are we fit enough? Mind and Body

Commonsense, thanks for the insight to young Browne mate.
Its good to get some background info on some of these young fellas.
I hope he can develop into a beauty, with Vickery and Putt.

We are not talking about a club that has consistantly been in the top 6 or 8 for the last, well lets say since 1982 (when we lost to scum).
The Scum? That's how we generally refer to Collingwood here TTM. Richmond lost the 1982 GF to Carlton. That was the game with the female streaker. I maintain this upset Francis Bourke (who was coaching the Tigers) so much that he completely lost the plot and the boys lost the game as well.

I don't think we should discriminate here CTT... scum applies very well to both Collingwook and Carlton (Scumswood and Carlscum! :hihi :hihi

My god this place is getting picky. I refer to both Collingwood and Carlton as scum. Thanks for reminding me about the 1982 grand final. Can anyone out there remeber when Richmond played Collingwood at West Park - I do, it was a lookout and yet the crowd kept on climbing over the wall.
As far for future posts on this website, as far as commonsense is concerned, please post all remarks to commonsense first so they can judge whether or not the comments are worthy of posting as they seem to be the moral juge of informed and uninformed criticism.
As far as nicknames for players go, who made them up? Was it commonsense?

I think all posters could do worse than stop making personal attacks on players eg. dud, gutless, soft etc. I think anybody who has played footy would agree that to get to AFL ,you must have something. My opinion is that to bag our players publicly only adds fuel to the fire of the perception that tiger supporters are feral and fickle. You people post what you like if it makes you happy

I thought scumwood are 'scum', but Carlsum were more propertly referred to as 'filth' :don't know

I think it quite amusing that people are denying what TTM is saying. It is spot on and how people question this is irrelevant. Maybe you need to watch matches more closely. This, with disposal is why where we have been for so bloody long. Not to mention the drafting but you need players who can now go full on for their game time and dispose with the upmost accuracy and that only comes with fitness. Great posting mate.

Fully agree with the Tim Tam man.

Across the board our inability to continually run hard to create options has been one of the major things thats held us back over the years.

When things start going against us, we go into our shell & in some sort of self preservation mode where players dont seem to want the ball in there hands or take a risk to turn the tide. Maybe its a confidence thing with our club.

Hopefully we can turn it around. These situations in games is where Cousins will really help us, as its the biggest plus he brings ILO.

Agree with all of that. Far too many times over the years we have had guys who look outstanding when we have the run of play but go missing when the heat is on. I put some of the blame at coaching but most of it the players. Over the years I don't think we have seen many guys come off the ground and look completely spent. Newman has improved in this area, Deledio has improved but Cousins will take a few with him to a higher level.
