PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Reading through many different posts I have noticed that the same theme keeps on coming up:
look slow, put ourselves under pressure, we wait too long too dispose of the ball, cant run a game out.

Surely RFC would attend to such difficiencies?

Benny Boy should at least help in this area if others notice how he plays which is:
a) he knows who is aound him but more importantly who is further up the ground before he receives the ball, this makes his decision making process so much easier and quicker as he pretty much already knows what he is gong to do with the ball before he gets it
b) run hard - it sounds simple yet only Richo and Raines do it why cant others?
c) lift your eyes and look at all options. I have seen it literally thousands of times with Richmond in the past 25 years and that is a guy is running into the HF line and just belts the ball forward as far as he can, but if he actually took half a second and lifted his head he would fine a Tiger sitting in the fifty all by themselves, but because they are not directly in front of the running player the do not get noticed! Geelong and Collingwood do this very well and I think it was young Vickery who did it once in a NAB cup match earlier this year and the commentators went nuts over it.

These are tings that can be taught and yet for the past 25 years have not, So I'll make you this guarantee. Richmond will once again be the Jeckle and Hyde of the competition. One week we will look world beaters and the next we will look a rabble.

Am I right or am I right!
