Are we going to get belted next week?

We may not get belted but I LOL at some who say we will win thias week.

The last 2 games were our winnables.

Now we go over to Perth - and play subiaco in which we have lost the last 8 games at.

??? find it strange the confidence is up for some - I am deflated as I actually thought the last 2 weeks we would win -

Can't for the life of me pick us this week.

When it comes to the crunch, and your backs to the wall there is only one way to come out and play. ;)

Freo is a heavy unit. If they put the acid on us physically, we'll be too frail.

But the Dockers prefer to play transition footy, which they are good at. Maybe they'd like a cheap shootout.

Think as one! Very physical team. Might be good game for Captain Contagious to stand and deliver - protect a few lesser lights. The best we can do is stay in touch - perhaps applaud a gallant effort by Polak on Pavlich. Their midfield and off half back are irresistable sadly.

Don't think we'll belted. Can see us being in the game up until late in the 3rd/early in the 4th and then they'll get a few cheap goals to run over us by about 5 or 6.

It was interesting to see the looks on the players faces in the rooms after the game on Saturday. They looked genuinely disappointed, almost devastated with the draw.

Do they have a TV at Titanium Oldie. Must have missed it on previous visits. ;) ;) ;D

Every other game this year I've had a slight feeling that we had a chance to win it. For the first time I feel nothing but dread going into this match.

LOL@ Tuck rucking against Sandilands.

As KFC said, it may be the first game ever where one side doesn't win a single ruck contest.
Freo will be inside 50 after every centre bounce!

We are looking at a major caning.

My fear as well Struggs.

Hence I slipped Sandilands off the bench in my Fantasy Team for this week!

Should actually have also made him captain :hihi :'(

This may be extreme... but i would excuse anyone of our players belting Sandilands in the 1st minute, rendering him out for the rest of the game!

Otherwise, it could get ugly!

Given the lack of height we have, who is tall enough to reach his head to clock him?

Extreme these day Y&B, but it wouldn't have a been an expected tactic anytime in the history of AFl/VFL up until the late 80's.

I think this is a week when anything is possible.

Let's start with form. Freo are 4-6, not a great result. They've beaten Melbourne (wow!), and St Kilda (double wow!), the Hawks and Adelaide (by a point, at home). It's not impressive. All their losses have been close, except Brisbane (by 45 pts at Gabba--we drew at Dome) and West Coast (31--we lost by 23 in Melb). So they've been competitive, but not strong. A bit like us last year.

Like us, they've also lost to Port, Essendon, Geelong and Collingwood.

Now let's look at the coach's mind games. We had Chris Connolly telling the papers he was treating Richmond like the reigning premiers.

I think there are two things going on there. First, he knows, what we oughta know (and darksiders don't have a clue about), which is we are far better than 9 losses and a draw suggests.

The second is that he's worried about complacency from the team; ie thinking this is a game they can win without killing themselves. Telling his players to treat Richmond like they're West Coast doesn't strike me as an intelligent way to combat complacency. It makes him sound like a tosser.

So the result will depend in part on which Fremantle, and which Richmond, turn up to play. I think we're a real chance, but Freo have to be favourites.

As for a belting? I would be very surprised. This is a group that's been getting a bit of confidence in themselves, despite how they played against Brisbane. And there are too many who really want to keep their places in the team.

Easy just get Axel Foliage to run straight at him in the first ruck contest and forget to duck.
Don't think he would get reported for an accidental headbutt to the groin and big Sandi would topple like the tall timber he is.
